The surf was up making the beach a blustery place to be. With the Tortuga Musical Festival on Ft. Lauderdale beach we decided to take a Sunday stroll on Hollywood’s beach.
Heading north we were buffeted by a 20 to 25 MPH headwind. Note the hammock sailing between the palms.
Rip current and jellyfish flags fly on the lifeguard shack. The Atlantic was rough.
The strand was loaded with strollers and pedalers.
Wherever there are people walking you will find old men on benches watching.
The windy weather and blowing sand didn’t keep people on the beach from enjoying a beautiful day.
If you didn’t want to face the wild waves in the ocean there’s always the wave machine at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville.
“Nothin’ but a Breeze” indeed.
How this guy kept from getting blown over while blowing up balloons is a mystery to me.
We ducked out of the sun and wind to grab lunch at Bonny & Read’s. They had a great Tex Mex burger and view.
Hollywood is the perfect place for a windy day walkabout by the ocean. The people watching, food and scenery means never a dull moment.
