In mid-July my niece Nicole attended a conference in Asheville, NC. She took a few days off and we drove to Asheville to bring her back to Chattanooga. Karen and I have passed the “World’s Largest Rideable Chopper Motorcycle” in Andrews, NC many times, but this was the first time we stopped for photos.

The Chattanooga Terminal Station was opened for train passengers in 1909. Architect Don Barber’s design took first place at a Paris Beaux Arts competition.

The Cincinnati Southern Railroad ran the “Choo-Choo” from Cincinnati to Chattanooga the first time on March 5, 1880. A newspaper man gave it the nickname Glen Miller made famous in song.

Point Park is on top of Lookout Mountain and part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.

The best view of Chattanooga is from Point Park looking across the Tennessee River’s Moccasin Bend.

This natural cairn of sandstone slabs has played host to picture posers for centuries and offers a great western view from atop Lookout Mountain.

“Mountain Legends” Jupiter Coyote have been around 33 years and played over 5,000 shows. They brought their blend of Rock, Funk, and Appalachian Boogie to Chattanooga’s Riverfront Nights series. Their show was a great finale for Nicole’s visit. She was a fun guest and we welcome her next visit.
