Saturday (4-30-16) was a beauty for boating. George and Mary Pat joined us for a cruise down the busy New River and ICW. The river never fails to deliver some interesting sights.

The super yachts are back in mass to get shined up and overhauled for their change from wintering in the Caribbean to summer months on northern waters.

I can’t help but think, “if a train really is coming, it’s in for a huge surprise.” Imagine telling your insurance company your boat got hit by a train!

I sat next to Mr. William Muller at the bar in the Downtowner for Bloody Marys and breakfast. He informed me that he once told a stranger named “Jim” to get out of his seat at the bar many years ago. The stranger was Jimmy Buffett. It turned out Mr. Muller had a lot to tell during breakfast.
