There is an acute lack of parrots in Tennessee. This local pirate shouldered a live chicken that barely raised an eyebrow at the Tennessee Dead’s, Riverfront Nights, Saturday show.

No nonchalance for this young lady when confronted with the parrot replacement.

The pirate’s floating, chicken coop was in disarray below deck. The bird looked right at home.

The Tennessee Dead were introduced as, “The best Grateful Dead cover band ever!” I was never a true “Dead Head” but I like their popular music. Their fans are a tight community with a great vibe and very entertaining when they get into the groove.

Ross’s Landing, by the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, was a great outdoor venue. The social distancing was good, the musicians very talented and the eclectic crowd a wonderful part of the experience. Pirates, don’t forget to bring your chickens.
