Karen and I attended the wedding of Seth Jordan and Allison Lyon at a remote farm in Luther, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 27, 2019. A splendid group of family and friends gathered to witness this beautiful event.
The nuptials took place outdoors in a pastoral setting.
Allison is my brother Jon’s youngest daughter. It was a proud Papa that walked the stunning bride down the aisle.
The ceremony had two unique features. The pastor used chocolate and peanut butter to illustrate the joining of the bride and groom. Allison and Seth brought personal soil to add to a pot in a “Unity Planting” ritual.
Allison and Seth met at Oklahoma State University where they studied Hotel & Restaurant Administration. Seth is currently Executive Chef at The Bond Catering & Events in Tulsa, OK and Allison is Chef De Partie at Living Kitchen Farm & Dairy in Depew, OK.
Now that this cooking couple have joined forces they will continue to make lasting impressions on the culinary world.
The wedding crew was a fun-loving bunch and posed patiently during the myriad of after ceremony photos.
Weddings are a great time to gather up the family for a group photo. Unfortunately, Jack and Donna Lyon, as well as, Becky and John Long could not make the journey for health reasons. We felt their loving presence and missed them terribly.
Mom Brenda and Big Sister Nicole joined the bride to make a very good-looking trio.
To improve our appearance, Jon and I have learned to flank ourselves with pretty women when we have our pictures taken.
An extremely happy bride showing off her bling.
Dad gets a dance before his little girl starts a new chapter in life.
Jason and Michelle join me in tossing the parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme at the newlyweds when they left. Now that’s a chef thing!
We all wished Seth and Al the very best as they made a cool exit in a hot Vette. Go with God and do good!
