Sunday (5-29-16) the excitement on the packed beach in Ft. Lauderdale surged through the crowd as three rockstars of the ocean cruised just a few feet off shore for all to see.
The beasts can weigh up to 3500 pounds and grow to 13 feet. These three were average at around 800 to 1000 pounds and 8 to 10 feet.
When they first showed up shouts of “Shark!” and “Look, baby whales!” went up. People swam for the sand, but soon waded back into the water to get a closer look.
