Friday (6-17-22) Laser Light Fest came to town. The outdoor show took place in the sweeping, 150-acre Tennessee River Park 11 minutes from our home. At $25 a carload, we had to go.

Karen and I arrived early and had plenty of time to wander around. The row of cars directly in front of the screen coughed up $191per vehicle to tailgate in the first two rows. We sat in a cordoned-off area behind them. The lasers shot over our heads and danced in the solid tree line at the back of a large, open field used for parking. Our view was fantastic. Not sure about the folks up front.

While we waited for dark, Mother Nature put on a light show of her own.

Nature was giving The Laser Show a tough act to follow.

The fading orange glow on the horizon cast an eerie light on the machine-made fog that filled the sky with particles for the lasers to light up.

Glow-in-the-dark toys sold well and it was not just the kids that got into playing with them.

We did not recognize much of the many musicians’ music that accompanied the mesmerizing show, but the amazing sound system and DJ managed to match well with the pulse of the lasers. The 45-minute show was hypnotic and fun for the many families that took advantage of the entertainment bargain.
